I don’t want to spend too much time fiddling with WordPress, so I am going to add all the plugins I intend to use from the start, choose a theme and set some configuration. This good piece of advice I got from an article at 45n5.com [ http://www.45n5.com/permalink/step-away-from-the-plugins-and-layouts.html ].
Configuration wise I have switched to a “Date and name based” permalink structure under Options->Permalinks which is a kind of obvious thing to do for SEO and to make the links more recognisable.
Plugins I have installed are as follows:
Any other configuration you think I should have done? Any essential plugins I have missed out? Leave a comment and let me know.

Welcome to the SerpNT.com blog.
Initially SerpNT.com was a resource for my own use, with information, tools and technology related to web development, web marketing and SEO.
Now I am planning to develop SerpNT.com as a tool set that will facilitate search engine optimization and the development and marketing of web sites for any one to use.
I have started this blog to track progress and development and cover anything I get distracted by that seems at all relevant along the way.
First step, get this blog up and running in a reasonable manner…
